The Ministry of Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucía has confirmed this Friday an outbreak with 15 positives for Covid-19, 13 residents and two workers, in a center for the elderly in Jaén .
It should be noted that the Fuente de la Peña residence, with 200 places, has all its residents vaccinated except five of them, who refused to get the vaccine . Of these five, two have tested positive.
The Andalusian Government has already reported on several occasions that the possibility of a person infected with Covid-19 suffering a thromboembolic episode is 16.5%, while with the AstraZeneca vaccine, the probability is 0.00034%.
The Ministry has indicated to Europa Press that this residence is the only one in the province of Jaén that currently has positive for coronavirus.
According to the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA) , since the pandemic began, 1,109 positives and 223 people have died in nursing homes in the province of Jaén.
Vaccination Strategy
In another vein, Andalusia continues to lead in vaccination in Spain and this Thursday the community again broke a new daily record with 122,681 doses administered in 24 hours.
Thus, the Board has inoculated until this June 3 a total of 5,095,104 doses of the vaccine against Covid-19 and a total of 1,854,185 Andalusians have the complete vaccination schedule , which represents 26.25% of the population over 16 years of age and 21.9% of the total population.
In addition, 47.5% of the population over 16 years of age already have at least one dose of the vaccine, a percentage that drops to 39.6% of the Andalusian population as a whole.
By age group, the group of people over 80 years old is 102.2% in relation to the complete regimen, while those between 70 and 79 years old 99.1% have at least one dose and 95 , 8% both. In the group aged 60 to 69 years, 91.4% have a dose and 22.8% the complete cycle and, from 50 to 59 years, 76.5.1% have at least one dose and 23.2 % the complete vaccination regimen.
