Coronavirus: Outbreak with 15 positives in a nursing home in Jaén in which 5 elderly people rejected the vaccine | Last minute Andalusia

The Ministry of Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucía has confirmed this Friday an outbreak with 15 positives for Covid-19, 13 residents and two workers, in a center for the elderly in Jaén .

It should be noted that the Fuente de la Peña residence, with 200 places, has all its residents vaccinated except five of them, who refused to get the vaccine . Of these five, two have tested positive.

The Andalusian Government has already reported on several occasions that the possibility of a person infected with Covid-19 suffering a thromboembolic episode is 16.5%, while with the AstraZeneca vaccine, the probability is 0.00034%.

The Ministry has indicated to Europa Press that this residence is the only one in the province of Jaén that currently has positive for coronavirus.

According to the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA) , since the pandemic began, 1,109 positives and 223 people have died in nursing homes in the province of Jaén.

Vaccination Strategy
