The legislative elections in Argentina have already given their first headline: after 38 years the Peronist party lost its own quorum in the National Senate. Cristina Kirchner’s stronghold has been attacked and the tough economic situation in Argentina has not gone unnoticed. The Frente de Todos renewed 15 seats and has finally obtained 9. Five loses at the hands of Juntos por l Cambio and the rest remains for the Cordovan Peronism. Thus, it goes from 41 to 35 seats, two less than those necessary for the quorum. In La Pampa Juntos por el Cambio obtained 48.48% and the FdT 42%, Chubut Juntos por el Cambio with 38% and the Frente de Todos 27%. In Córdoba, the Frente de Todos lost representation since Luis Juez obtained 54% and the provincial ruling party was in second place with 24%. In the case of Santa Fe Carolina Losada de JxC obtained 40.5% compared to Frente de Todos with 32%. In Mendoza, JxC obtained 49% and JxC 25.8%. Finally, in Corrientes Eco Vamos Corrientes obtained 59% and the Frente de Todos was in second place 36.48 percent.
With the first known data, the ruling party managed to stay in Catamarca, it won with 50.57% and Juntos por el Cambio 37.09% and Tucumán 48.6% in favor of the Frente de Todos to 41% of Juntos por el Cambio while in Catamarca the ruling party managed to prevail.
