A 25-year-old man set off on a bicycle in Hungary. According to police, he was going to visit a friend in Italy but was stopped at the Danish border.

The 25-year-old man from Libya stated that he started a bicycle in Hungary a few days ago, the federal police said on Monday. The man, who had no ID with him, said that he had actually wanted to visit a friend in Italy. He did not have a map or mobile phone when Danish border officials handed him over to the federal police on Saturday.
According to the federal police, the man was asked to report to the State Office for Immigration and Refugees after filing a complaint for illegal residence. The man was then taken to the Flensburg train station. A spokesman for the federal police could not say on Wednesday whether he actually wanted to go to Italy or to Denmark. dpa
