The dollar in Colombia gained $ 40 this Wednesday and closed at $ 3,745.74, continuing the rise it registered yesterday.
In the Colombian market, the most valued shares today were Conconcreto (+5.64%), El Cóndor (+3.05%), Terpel (+2.78%), Ecopetrol (+2.38%) and Cementos Argos (+1.80%). For its part, the Colcap Index fell 0.53%.
Oil prices advanced today amid a slight drop in commercial crude oil reserves in the United States, but mainly due to the shortage of gasoline at service stations in the country, after the cyberattack on a major oil pipeline that prompted consumers to buy fuel.

A barrel of North Sea Brent for July delivery ended up 1.12% at US $ 69.32 in London. In New York, a barrel of WTI for June delivery gained 1.22% to US $ 66.08.
Commercial crude oil reserves in the United States fell by 400,000 barrels in the week ending May 7 , less than analysts expected, according to the weekly report from the Energy Information Agency (EIA).
The New York Stock Exchange fell sharply today, with the market concerned about an overheating economy following higher-than-expected inflation figures for April.
The Dow Jones fell 1.99% to 33,587.66 points, its biggest drop in a single day since January, while the Nasdaq lost 2.67% to 13,031.68 points, in its worst session since March.
On its side, the expanded S&P 500 index lost 2.14% to 4,063.04 points, its biggest drop since February.

It has been 13 years since prices have risen so much in the United States: in the 12 months to last April, the increase was 4.2%, according to the CPI index published on Wednesday by the Labor Department.
