Whether as the Duchess of Cornwall or the “Queen Consort”, Camilla wants to put an end to domestic violence and continues her fight tirelessly.
London – According to a study by the WHO, every third woman worldwide experiences violence in a partnership – a frightening number that Duchess Camilla (74) can no longer get out of her head. As reported by 24royal.de*, she has been campaigning for victims of domestic violence for years and thus makes the taboo subject a topic of conversation.
Duchess Camilla also wants to fight against domestic violence as “Queen Consort”.
In 2016, Duchess Camilla* met Diana Parkes in London, whose daughter Joanna was killed by her husband six years earlier. The encounter does not let go of Prince Charles* (73) wife and even years later the two women are in contact. Shortly before her 70th jubilee, the Queen had expressed the wish that Camilla should bear the title “Queen Consort” after Charles’ accession to the throne*. When asked by Barnett, Camilla described the decision in an interview as a “great honor” that also drives her commitment: “It helps. I will continue these concerns.
