“I will never forget that moment,” Camilla recalls of meeting Diana Parkes, “and I don’t think I would be as involved now if I hadn’t met you.” Queen Elizabeth II’s daughter-in-law* (95 ) regularly seeks exchanges with women who are victims of domestic violence, she visits help centers and uses campaigns to draw attention to the global problem. However, she would like to pursue this important task with great commitment not only as the Duchess of Cornwall, but also as the “Queen Consort”*.

Duchess Camilla: “I hope I’ll do this for the rest of my life”

Shortly before her 70th jubilee, the Queen had expressed the wish that Camilla should bear the title “Queen Consort” after Charles’ accession to the throne*. When asked by Barnett, Camilla described the decision in an interview as a “great honor” that also drives her commitment: “It helps. I will continue these concerns. You know, when I start something like this, I don’t stop in the middle. […] I hope I do that for the rest of my life.” *24royal.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
