Munich – “Bridge over troubled water” by Simon and Garfunkel is one of the absolute milestones in music history. Rolling Stone ranked it number 51 among the greatest albums of all time a few years ago. It contains hits like the title track or “The boxer” . It’s available on vinyl or CD in millions of households – according to the Telegraph , the record has been sold an incredible 25 million times since its release in 1970. And the cover, which shows the two musicians Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel , is world-famous.

However: Only very few people have noticed a crazy detail on it so far.

Simon and Garfunkel cover with funky detail – Do you really want to know?

Before you continue reading, you should first consider whether you even want to know about it. Because we can promise you with almost certainty: you will never be able to see the album cover again without thinking about it.

At first glance, the cover is kept stylish and simple. The two artists stand one behind the other. Art Garfunkel looks into the camera, Paul Simons looks out of the picture. Next to it is written in simple writing “Simon and Garfunkel Bridge Over Troubled Water”.

Cover of Simon and Garfunkel seems to show huge mustache

But the highlight, discovered by some Internet user: If you think away from Paul Simon’s face or – even better – cover it up, a whole new sight emerges: It looks as if Art Garfunkel is wearing a monstrous, tasteless mustache . Once you’ve discovered this, you probably won’t be able to look at the cover innocently anymore.

A record store from Grand Haven (Michigan/USA) later pointed this out. But the makers are by no means the “discoverers” of the Clous. With more detailed research, it becomes clear that there are even postings from 2012 on the Internet that refer to the fascinating observation.

And many others responded enthusiastically. “That’s funny, I needed some light humor right now! Ta!” and “Brilliant! It’s true!’

The discovery of a couple from the USA under their study also delighted many viewers years ago.
