As the motorway police announced, the accident occurred on Saturday (17.07.2021) around 1.30 p.m. between Lorsch in the Bergstrasse district and the Viernheimer Dreieck. A 72-year-old man was driving his car in the same direction as the motorcyclist and wanted to overtake him. When changing lanes, the man is said to have overlooked the motorcycle, according to the police. There was a collision. The motorcyclist from Darmstadt was injured so badly that he died at the scene of the accident. The rescue workers could no longer help the man.
