First impressions with the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4

The city of New York served as the stage for the first tests of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Flip 4, as Samsung organized a tour to test the cameras of both phones, as well as their usability.

In Expansión we had the opportunity to test the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and to be in contact with the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and these were our first impressions:

Easier to generate content

The new Galaxy Z Flip picked up benefits from the previous model such as its design, lightness and portability, but added a slimmer bezel that allows for better screenshots.

During the tour we did in Greenwich Village we managed to have a kind of selfie stick, a video camera like the ones our parents used when there was a school festival and even a mirror to fix our hair.

However, despite having better performance than the Galaxy Z Flip 3, the battery dropped from 100 to 67% after about four hours of very continuous use.

That I like?

Creating content has several challenges, from having mobile equipment with cameras and semi-professional phones, to needing selfie sticks and other accessories to make the shots more comfortable.

But if you have to choose a battle partner, you can opt for this pair of phones that will help you have a double camera to see you and guide you in the process of taking pictures.

Both support 5G networks and have an alliance with Instagram that allows better content for this network. In fact, Adam Mosseri, leader of Instagram, was at the Samsung presentation talking about the possibilities of making videos and photos with this pair of phones.

What didn’t I like?

Although it is hardly a taste of what is possible with this pair of equipment, there is one issue that users might not love.

In the case of the Galaxy Z Fold 4, the unfolded screen is so wide that it prevents others from seeing it while you are taking a selfie, something that could make some users uncomfortable.

Another detail is that of the battery, however it is appreciated that both phones have improved their performance on this issue compared to the previous version.

They will have to spend more weeks to know more details with this pair of teams, but in the first impressions they cover what they promise.
