Francisco Javier Juampérez, founder of La Esperanza pastry shop, dies

Francisco Javier Juampérez, founder of La Esperanza pastry shops, died on June 6, according to a statement published by the company.

"With deep sorrow, Grupo Esperanza communicates the sensitive death of Francisco Javier Juampérez," the statement said.

Together with his brother Pedro, Francisco Javier founded the first branch of the bakery in 1975, in the Escuadrón 201 neighborhood, in the Iztapalapa mayor's office.
