And swung the manslaughter argument from the encroachments on fundamental rights, with which she also defended her sister party member Markus Söder for his “bullet shot” (Plasberg, ARD) from Bavaria.

With a mixture of arrogance and ignorance, he ignores Plasberg’s question (“Why did you leave the team for caution?”) with the fluff that he was only “cautiously optimistic” and immediately goes so far as to make the cynical claim that you just have to do more vaccinate to lift the everyday restrictions.

And that’s what a politician says, of all people, whose country’s vaccination rates are far behind the national average. A treat for Katrin Göring-Eckardt, who accuses Blume and Söder on ARD of running away instead of taking responsibility. Christina Berndt also finds the “cross shots” from Munich unspeakable, sees the CSU politicians on populist voter votes: “If we don’t increase the vaccination rate, we’ll be back here in the fall!”

Cihan Çelik gets to the point again in his calm, confident manner with Frank Plasberg (ARD) and vehemently contradicts Blume, who no longer wants to know anything about incidences as a guideline for corona easing (although one wonders where he got this knowledge from !): “The incidence figures are still important, as they show where the journey is headed. Above all, we have to look at the incidences in an age-specific manner.”

And as a doctor, he tells Blume that he also has to make sure that his nursing staff have to protect themselves from health hazards, just like construction workers have to wear a helmet: “In the risk group of 3 million unvaccinated people over 60 years of age, work is hard the virus further forward. There are almost only unvaccinated people in the intensive care units. What is coming from Munich now only confuses people.”

Blume continues to babble about a plan for “entering into the exit”, but also has no answer to Göring’s question, “when should it take effect?” He insists on Bavaria’s special path against the rest of the republic, along the lines of: “What we don’t care about our chatter from yesterday.”

The special path that Denmark has taken is far more sympathetic, as Marc-Christoph Wagner reports. He justifies the fact that 96% have already been boosted in our neighboring country – compared to almost 70% in this country – with the confidence of the Danes in the state, whose representatives have always made clear statements: “This is how they addressed the solidarity side of the Danes on their willingness to vaccinate.
