Bid she did not make it to the top after all. Helene Fischer landed with her new song at number two in the German single charts.

Baden-Baden – Helene Fischer entered the German charts at number two with her new song “Vamos a Marte”. GfK Entertainment announced on Friday in Baden-Baden that it was her highest single ranking ever and even topped the success of “Atemlos durch die Nacht”, which reached third place at the beginning of 2014.

She is supported with the new song by Latin singer Luis Fonsi, whose hit “Despacito” was reported to have topped the charts in Germany for 17 weeks.

Ed Sheeran remains at number one in the singles charts with “Bad Habits”, while Montez, who was second last week, is now at number three with “Auf & Ab”. According to GfK Entertainment, the highest newcomers behind Helene Fischer are Dardan & Cro with “Cloud 7” in twelfth place and Lune with “Have only one request” in 15th place.

Thanks to the release of new special editions of his successful record “Trip”, Cro pushed the previous week’s winner Billie Eilish (“Happier Than Ever”) from first to fifth place in the album charts. Second place went to Beatles legend George Harrison with “All Things Must Pass”. Olaf der Flipper reached third place with “Liebe ist” and the medieval rockers from Feuerschwanz took fourth place with “The Last Battle”. dpa
