The advance of the delta (Indian) variant of the coronavirus is unstoppable: in Spain it represents 20.9% of all infections and the EU forecasts are that in August it will reach 70%, but the social-communist government of Pedro Sánchez insists in taking gravity away. Nothing seems to change the pace of an Executive who wants to turn the page from the ignominious pardons to the Catalan coup plotters and desperately tries to sell the idea of a happy Spain where, thanks to Pedro Sánchez, vaccination is advancing in a hurry and outdoor masks are part From the past. And yet, in the EU, the advance of the Indian variant worries a lot, to the point of launching a warning signal before the forecast that in midsummer it will be the cause of 7 out of 10 infections. The data that the laboratories publish in the GISAID observer do not exactly invite optimism and contradict the optimistic vision of the Government: the Ministry of Health only recognizes 2.7% of cases of this variant, which in the worst case, it assures, it reaches 10% in certain specific areas. It is simply impossible that the Government does not know in detail the percentage, practically in real time, of incidence of the Indian variant (the 20.9% mentioned above), so the only explanation that can be extracted is that it is lying to the Spanish . That is, it does not recognize the potential danger of this variant so as not to spoil the idea of the happy Spain of Pedro Sánchez.
And it is that, in reality, the Government what is going to exploit electorally is the advance of vaccines -even if they come from the EU and are inoculated by the autonomous communities- and it does not want, under any circumstances, that nothing alters its plan to sofronize the society, generating a climate of optimism through propaganda. In other words, for Sánchez there is no worthwhile Indian variant. And if the data has to be manipulated, it is manipulated, period.
