Inflation is hungry: Pastelerías La Esperanza raises prices of its sweet bread and cakes

Inflation affected various sectors in the country, and the bakery sector was not exempt. A clear example is that of the company La Esperanza, which had to increase the prices of its products this year due to the rise in inputs with which they make their food.

The manager of the place affirms that in these establishments the clients will not find leftover bread or from other days, which derives from the fact that it is being placed in the preference of consumers throughout 40 decades.

“The quality and the raw material have to do with the customer being satisfied and leaving satisfied. If you have leftover or spoiled bread, the customer does not come back, they leave with a bad image, you have to check expirations, and that the bread is fresh, “he says.

In this sense, she was asked if they were affected by inflation, to which the woman answered yes, due to the rise in input prices.

“Especially the bizcochero and pastry bread has been increasing, the pastry bread took a little longer,” said the worker at the bakery that opened on June 18, 2020.

The manager explained that this 2022 only had an increase and it was in the month of January, at the same time that she assured that the quality of the breads that also maintain the same size did not decrease.

“Clients initially told us: how did the price go up? If it was that much”.

“At the beginning of January we changed the price. The pastry bread was one of the most affected due to how expensive it is, the pastry is going up, but the point is that you get a good product so that you can sell it, if it is good, the customer does not mind paying, 20 or 30 pesos, as long as the product is good, you like it”, shared the manager of the place.

La Esperanza has 115 branches around the Mexican Republic, the State of Mexico, Puebla, Guadalajara, Hidalgo, Morelos, Tijuana, Cancun and Querétaro, where you will also find beer sales in selected branches, sandwiches and prepared foods.

In addition, most of the supplies used by the master bakers are already branded by the company, such as milk, flour, essences, among others.
