Keiko Fujimori insists on waiting for the National Elections Jury on the appealed minutes

The Peruvian presidential candidate Keiko Fujimori, from Fuerza Popular, has insisted on waiting for the result of the evaluation carried out by the National Elections Jury (JNE) on the appealed acts and the alleged irregularities registered in the framework of the elections despite that the National Office of Electoral Processes (ONPE) already gives the victory to Pedro Castillo with 100% of the votes counted.

«Today a result of the ONPE count has come out, but the most important thing is missing, which is the evaluation of the pending minutes that the National Elections Jury has, those appealed by the observed minutes and the more than 800 minutes with a request for annulment ", has said.

“We trust the electoral bodies, yes, but above all we trust the popular will. And we know that when they analyze these irregularities, it is most likely that they will agree with us, "he said, according to information from the RPP station.

Fujimori has thus addressed his followers, who have taken to the streets for the second day in a row to demand that the JNE promptly review the request for the annulment of the minutes presented by Fuerza Popular.

The candidate has called on her supporters to "always be vigilant" and carry out peaceful mobilizations. “We wait with hope, with energy and strength, but also with great prudence. That is important, let's not step on the stick, "he stressed.

The ONPE has indicated that a total of 18,856,616 votes have been cast – among which are also blank and null votes. Thus, the Peru Libre candidate has won 50.12 percent of the support, while Fujimori has obtained 49.87 percent.
