Madrid stands before Sánchez: the measures imposed by Health are labeled "fraud" and "intervention"

The Deputy Minister of Public Health and the Covid-19 Plan of the Community of Madrid, Antonio Zapatero , has charged against the Government of Pedro Sánchez for the new measures approved by the Interterritorial Health Council that affects bars and leisure establishments. Zapatero qualifies these measures as “fraud” and accuses the Executive of Sánchez of “intervening” in the communities to want to “impose” this new plan of restrictions.

The Government of the Community of Madrid has already announced that it would not apply these measures as they affect the hospitality sector. “We have no notification of the order communicated. We do not feel linked to that decision, “said Zapatero at a press conference this Friday to report on the epidemiological situation in the region. The Director of Public Health, Elena Andradas , was also present at this press conference.

“Once the state of alarm subsides, the responsibility is transferred to the communities. The council makes recommendations and what it has to do is seek consensus . It seems to us that what he is doing is a fraud and an intervention, “said the Deputy Minister of Public Health.

Antonio Zapatero has also affirmed that the measures of the Ministry of Health are not “suitable” with the current situation, nor are they “proportional”. “It seems to us a fraud to use the Interterritorial Council to impose those measures that do not make any sense,” he added.

For her part, Elena Andradas has argued that at the meeting the Community technicians expressed their disagreement with the proposals of that first draft because they were making “coordinated response actions and recommendations mandatory”, something that is “neither adequate nor timely » .

«With me they don’t count»

The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Día Ayuso , has already flatly rejected the new Health plan for going against bars and leisure establishments. “With me they do not count to ruin the hospitality industry,” Ayuso assured this Thursday.

«This imposition comes late and of course it is again primed with the hotel business, that they do not count on me to ruin more citizens, neither hoteliers, nor merchants. So I don’t think it makes sense at this point either, after having done absolutely nothing during the entire pandemic, “warned the Madrid president.

Ayuso also affirmed that the Government of Pedro Sánchez tries to “cover the pardons” with the approval of these new restrictions, alluding to the measure of grace that the Executive could grant to the coup plotters condemned by 1-O.

“I want to make it clear that Sánchez is using the pandemic to hide the tax increases, the rise in electricity and above all to get money in a shameful way. And everything he is doing right now, especially trying to cover what is happening, among other things, the pardons, “said the regional president.
