The president of Cantabria, Miguel Ángel Revilla, has been 'hunted' this Thursday eating inside a restaurant, something prohibited by the anti-Covid regulations approved by the autonomous government that he presides over. The decree approved by the Cantabrian government establishes the closure of the interior areas of hotel and catering establishments, including hotel restaurants and other tourist accommodation, except for home delivery services or collection at the establishment, social health centers and soup kitchens; dining rooms of educational centers -not university cafeterias-; and fuel supply establishments, as a service for professional drivers, each with a capacity of one third.A group of Santander residents has caught Revilla leaving the interior of the La Capitana restaurant, on Castelar street, and has recorded him . Neighbors accuse him of having condemned the hoteliers to ruin while he enjoyed a meal, with a cigar and everything during the after-meal, in a place prohibited by its regulations against the pandemic. In the video, Revilla is heard alleging that the space where he has had lunch is a terrace, where it is allowed to eat, and he assures that the cigar is on the table is not his and he has not smoked Subsequently, the PP, Citizens and Vox have registered three requests for an urgent appearance before the President's Parliament Cantabrian to explain if he has eaten inside the restaurant. Revilla insisted this Thursday that Cantabria will be "distrusted" when the state of alarm wanes and has trusted that by then legal mechanisms will be articulated so that the communities with the highest incidence of Covid can extend that figure and take action.
