The coronavirus in Baden-Württemberg makes face-to-face teaching complicated. However, Minister of Education Theresa Schopper does not consider shorter summer holidays to be necessary to close knowledge gaps.
Stuttgart – Since Easter, most of the students in the southwest are no longer in face-to-face classes. Due to the increasing incidence, schools in Baden-Württemberg returned to distance learning after the holidays. In many urban and rural districts, the incidence value has fallen significantly again, but most schools still only offer alternate classes at most. In order to close the learning gaps, Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann announced in March that he might catch up on lessons during the holidays. As BW24 * reports, the new Minister of Education, Theresa Schopper, does not want to shorten the summer holidays because people are “on the verge of their strength”.
Since the end of the Easter break, schools in Baden-Württemberg have been back in distance learning (BW24 * reported), which is causing frustration for many students and teachers. * BW24 is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA
