A man kills his three children and his wife. According to the police, the motive is anti-Semitism. The man thought the corona pandemic was a conspiracy.
Potsdam – A tragic family tragedy happened last year in Königs Wusterhausen in Brandenburg: at the beginning of December, five bodies were discovered in a family home in the Senzig district: three children aged four, eight and ten, a 40-year-old man and his wife of the same age Woman. The father of the family is said to have first killed the children and his wife with a gun. He then committed suicide with the gun.
In a farewell letter, the man expressed concern about being arrested because he had his wife’s vaccination certificate forged. The police found further evidence of the motive in the cell phone of the father. According to the Brandenburg police, anti-Semitism was a motive for the crime. After evaluating the chat histories on the man’s cell phone that had been seized, this motive also emerged, said Torsten Herbst, spokesman for the Brandenburg police headquarters, on Friday (February 18, 2022). The Potsdamer Latest News and the Märkische Allgemeine Zeitung had previously reported on it.

Father kills three children and wife in Königs Wusterhausen: One motive is anti-Semitism
The victim perspective Brandenburg, a counseling center for those affected by right-wing violence, expressed shock. This act shows the enormous danger of anti-Semitic conspiracy stories about Corona within the Corona denial movement, says Judith Porath, Managing Director of Victims Perspective. The fact that the investigating authorities officially classify her as anti-Semitic is an important step. However, since there could be no court proceedings, she called for a public and complete explanation of how the crime could have happened. It must also be examined to what extent deniers of the corona virus and right-wing networks were involved in the radicalization of the perpetrator.
The Federal Ministry of the Interior had responded to a parliamentary question by the left-wing member of the Bundestag Petra Pau on anti-Semitic crimes in the fourth quarter of 2021 that Senzig’s crime was also one of them. According to the current state of knowledge, the man was convinced that the state was pursuing an “evil” plan with the vaccination campaign and wanted to reduce the world population by half and establish a new world order under Jewish leadership.
Corona vaccinations: Father believes in a Jewish world conspiracy
The classification of the act as “anti-Semitic” resulted from the man’s view that there was a Jewish world conspiracy, it said. According to police spokesman Herbst, other motives for the man are xenophobia, racism, rejection of the state and rejection of the health service and measures to combat the pandemic. The Amadeu Antonio Foundation had already warned of growing anti-Semitism in Germany in autumn 2020 – also because of conspiracy theories in the corona pandemic. Because it is precisely in times of crisis that the perfidious world view of anti-Semitism is gaining traction. (dpa/df)
