Munich crime scene "Kehraus" today in the first: The story of Princess Silke II.

Today the Munich crime scene “Kehraus” (ARD) comes to us in all seriousness with a carnival edition and, lo and behold: it works despite everything.

First of all, the craziest thing is that carnival is celebrated here as if nothing else had happened. This has to do with the fact that the Munich crime scene “Kehraus” of the ARD was already prepared in 2020, apparently with intensive on-site research by the scriptwriters Stefan Betz and Stefan Holtz. You already knew what Corona was, but you had no idea that two years later a Corona-free carnival would seem like it had fallen completely out of time and space. The question is whether TV films are making a mistake at all if they largely ignore everyday corona life.

But then there are completely different craziness and you are very distracted.

Today in the ARD: Tatort “Kehraus” zigt for outsiders sad permanent party

In any case, the 2022 Tatort season, finally finished by the past few days, finds a melancholy echo in the book as well as in the dark, lively production by director Christine Hartmann. Although the celebrations are in full swing, the police are in the thick of things and the protagonist is not a child of sadness, “Kehraus” shows a long, sad party for outsiders. For those who are there, all this is initially veiled in alcohol intoxication, but “Bei Irmi” (Johanna Bittenbinder laconically behind the bar) is not particularly full either.

Here, among other things, Little Red Riding Hood got drunk and flirts with an “Indian” who is only known during carnival (and another guest immediately calls out “American Native”, at least it’s the lifeguard Manfred). Since there is a dead person nearby and the “Indian” is said to have argued with the man beforehand, Little Red Riding Hood has to go to the police station as a witness and to sleep off his intoxication. While the audience should gradually adjust to the fact that it is his story that is being told here, the story of Little Red Riding Hood, then carnival princess Silke II. And of the wolf, but the two do not meet.

“Tatort: Kehraus”, ARD, Sunday (02/27/2022), 8.15 p.m.

Silke II.: That will be important later. When she meets the old prince again in a scene so beautiful, gentle, that one wants to regain faith in humanity.

Crime scene “Kehraus” today in the first: Brazen imposter arouses sympathy

In general, however, she has serious problems, lost her apartment and lost her business plans again. The ex-husband wants full custody of the pubescent son, whom he prefers to see as a future tax consultant, while the mother knows and encourages the spray artist in him. That is the constellation from “The Father” by August Strindberg, such things have not become superfluous with the liberal divorce law. Family, hell, you miss the moment it flies apart.

In Tatort “Kehraus”, Nina Proll plays the former Silke II with dignity and aplomb, Tatort throws itself on her side in a lively cat-and-mouse game, so to speak: by following her footsteps and by showing sympathy for her against all reason wakes up It’s the sympathy one can only have with here-and-now imposters. Without hesitation, she tries to bribe the commissioners. The second it works for her, she rents a room in the luxury hotel on Maximilianstrasse and takes a bath in the bubble bath. “It’s all just a game for you,” says the inspector. “Life is a game,” says Silke. And: “If you play for a lot, you can also lose a lot.” The final belongs to you. You haven’t seen anything like it, you don’t believe it, but you’re still impressed.

Munich crime scene today on ARD: Leitmayr and Batic cuts an excellent figure

Leitmayr and Batic, Udo Wachtveitl and Miroslav Nemec, meanwhile, have different attitudes towards the follies. Leitmayr repairs his bike and curses out the window, where there is a lot of noise and gossip. Batic goes as a pilot and gets to know some bees from the district of Mühldorf am Inn. He’s a bit slow on the uptake today. Even after gradually exceeding the usual age limit for detectives, the Munich duo cuts an excellent figure, jokes fly back and forth. Kalli, Ferdinand Hofer, stoically puts on his costume. Is that a sausage? The actual criminalistic problem is classic and ruthless.

Fürstenfeldbruck residents might get annoyed for a moment, but maybe they are used to it.

You also have to concentrate a bit. From “That’s why you’re daglaant” to “That’s why you ended up there too” is one way. (Judith von Sternburg)
