Norwegian royal family takes a stand against the war in Ukraine

Norway’s royal family joins the huge wave of solidarity unleashed by the Russian attack on Ukraine.

Oslo – Destroyed buildings, injured residents, heavily armed soldiers: The horrific images from Ukraine are dominating the international headlines. People are taking to the streets around the world to hold vigils and demand an end to the war. While royals like Prince William (39) and Duchess Kate (40) expressed their sympathy in public statements *, the Norwegian royal family * decided on another gesture of solidarity. Crown Prince Haakon (48) and Crown Princess Mette-Marit* (48) attended a peace service for Ukraine side by side. In addition to the heir to the throne, clergymen from various denominations and representatives of Norwegian organizations also gathered in the Trinity Church in Oslo.

The ceremony not only prayed for the Ukrainian people.
