The 84-year-old is performing again today. He loves the stage, which he also likes to share with his sons Marc and Pascal. In an interview with mdr.de, Marshall is positive: “I don’t get sick and sad because I’m getting older. You have to be thankful when you get to grow old. That’s the most important thing for me: to stay here as long as possible. I’ve had so many illnesses and I’ve put them all away.”

Tony Marshall erkrankte an Corona. Er musste sogar auf der Intensivstation behandelt werden. Mittlerweile geht es dem Schlagerstar wieder besser und er bedankt sich bei seinen Fans für die lieben Genesungswünsche.

“It’s supposed to happen on stage”: Tony Marshall speaks openly about his death

During his corona disease, his buddy, with whom he was still traveling before his positive test, died of the disease. But Tony Marshall has apparently already thought about his death.

If he could choose, it would look like this to him: “I don’t set goals. I have no barriers either. I walk straight until I fall over. My wish is: it should happen on stage and not in the hospital bed. But hopefully we still have a little time.”

He hopes that he will be as old as his mother, who died at the age of 92. “You always have to make the best of it. I had enough time to enjoy being on this earth,” he adds in the interview.

Tony Marshall is thankful for every day

Until then, Tony Marshall has one thing above all: grateful. “You have to say to yourself when you open your eyes in the morning: I’m still alive! That’s the greatest experience. Then you have to enjoy the day and be nice to those around you. What should Tony be afraid of? It is important that the head works,” explains the pop singer.

The hit star will soon be back on stage with his two sons. The name of the concert is “Father and Sons”. A new single of the same name will also be released.
