Putin shuts down Instagram: Russian influencers cry bitterly – fans outraged: "You're snotty"

Instagram has been shut down in Russia. Many influencers cry, among other things, about the loss of their source of income. This is misunderstood by many.

Karina Istomina, a popular DJ (400,000 followers), told The Guardian: “About half of all my income comes from Instagram advertising. To be honest I’m absolutely devastated that I’m losing my side. […] I probably need to find new sources of income and rediscover myself.”

Many users are critical of the crying video from “buzova86” (23.2 million followers). In Russian, a follower sarcastically commented: “Without an audience, you will lose money.
