Grupo Radio Centro achieved a strategic alliance with Olympusat, a content firm, to launch open television channel 8.2 under the FreeTV brand and the streaming platform with the same name.
The American media company Olympusat announced on April 30 the launch of its FreeTV platform in Latin America with more than 8,000 hours of premium series and movies in English and Spanish.
Through a statement, Radio Centro explained that the new channel 8.2 will have programming focused on entertainment provided by the content marketing and production company Olympusat.
Radio Centró explained that the alliance will allow it to enter streaming with a free video-on-demand platform that will allow viewers to follow channel 8.2's programming at any time, from their laptop, cell phone or tablet through the FreeTV App.
Radio Centro's platform, which the company defines as "a unique scheme," seeks to reach "any audience regardless of their consumption habits or their age." "FreeTV has more than 8,000 hours of series and movies for all ages," says Radio Centro in a statement.
