Corona: Hospitalization incidence drops to 1.79

Biontech boss Sahin: vaccine for five to twelve year olds this year
Update from September 13, 12.25 p.m.: Will there be a vaccine for children under 12 soon? Biontech founders Ugur Sahin and Özlem Türeci assume that his company’s vaccine can be used for five to eleven year old children this year.

Berlin – The 7-day incidence is currently 81.9. That comes from the data of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Monday morning. The previous day the value was 80.2, a week ago on Monday it was 84.3. However, it is initially unclear whether late registrations can still occur and whether the value will change as a result.
For Baden-Württemberg, only one positive corona case was recorded on the Covid 19 dashboard on Sunday. In the days before, well over 1000 corona cases had been reported by the health authorities. On Monday, however, 1,977 new coronavirus infections and 4 other deaths were reported according to the RKI.

Hospitalization Incidence in Germany
There has been no new hospitalization incidence from the RKI since Friday. The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was last given by the RKI on Friday at 1.95. The previous high was around 15.5 around Christmas time.
A year ago there were significantly fewer corona patients in the hospital
According to the DIVI intensive care register, 1,443 corona patients are currently in an intensive care unit in Germany. 753 of them have to be artificially ventilated (as of September 13, 6:34 a.m.). In the age group of 50 to 59 year olds, the proportion of Covid patients is currently highest at 25.8 percent. In the age group of 0 to 17 year olds, 15 Covid patients (1.1 percent) currently require intensive care. The majority of intensive care patients are unvaccinated.
