The number of deaths from or with Corona has risen dramatically in Germany in just one week. The incidence is now close to 250.
Berlin – The number of new corona infections in Germany exceeded the threshold of 50,000. This is the highest value since the beginning of the pandemic. According to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Thursday, 50,196 new infections with the pathogen were registered within 24 hours.
The nationwide 7-day incidence also reached a new high of 249.1. The RKI also reported 235 new deaths in connection with Corona *. A week ago there were 165 deaths.
The high until November 7, 2021 was reached on December 22, 2020 at 197.6. At that time, however, hardly any people in this country were vaccinated.

The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days – the most important parameter for a possible tightening of the corona restrictions – was given by the RKI on Wednesday as 4.61 (Tuesday: 4.31).
The total number of registered cases of infection in Germany since the start of the pandemic rose to 4,894,250, the total number of recorded deaths in connection with a corona infection to 97,198.
