How to conquer new markets: With “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”, Marvel Studios is bringing an Asian title hero to the cinema for the first time.
Berlin – Simu Liu plays Shang-Chi, who was trained to be a killer by his 1000-year-old father Wenwu (Tony Leung) after the violent death of Shang-Chi's mother.
But instead of taking revenge on the perpetrators, Shang-Chi ran away. Ten years later, the past catches up with him. His father visits Shang-Chi and his sister because he believes that Shang-Chi's mother is not dead but is being held captive in her magical home village in China. Wenwu wants to raid the village with his army. But Shang-Chi stands in his way. The work is a mixture of martial arts film, action comedy and the famous Marvel bombast.
