Stockholm – Before Christmas, Silvia (77) and Carl Gustaf von Sweden (75) have another important date in their calendars. The royal couple is traveling to Dubai * to represent their home country at Expo2020.

A good six hours by flight separate Stockholm and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. King Carl XVI. The absolutist monarchy is a popular travel destination for celebrities. However, the trips to Dubai by actresses, influencers and the like have not gone unnoticed for a long time. Human rights organizations repeatedly point out the considerable democratic deficits of the emirate, which should not be advertised. The dramatic escape of Princess Latifa * (36) is still well remembered. The daughter of Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Muhammad bin Raschid Al Maktum (72), said she was kidnapped and held captive on behalf of her father.
