Update from May 14, 4.10 p.m.: It is already a done deal. In Germany there will soon be a digital vaccination card. But Bavaria’s Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU) worries that every country wants to cook its own soup. “It has to be a nationwide solution – no isolated solutions.” When asked why politicians are only now dealing with the digital vaccination card – almost six months after the start of vaccination – Holetschek answered when he visited the Ebersberg vaccination center on Friday: “The question after easing for vaccinated people are developments in the last few weeks. ”In addition, one had to wait for guidelines from the European Union. But Bavaria wants to put pressure on the federal government: “Overall, we can all get better.”

None of this is going fast enough for the district of Ebersberg in the southeast of Munich. The authorities there have therefore started a joint vaccination pass project with the Magdeburg company * “Alive”. The vaccination data is not linked to the name, but to the respective identity card number. A QR code that is supposed to prove the vaccination status is only valid for 60 seconds and therefore cannot be copied. “The Ebersberg model is an interesting model,” said Holetschek, but emphasized that Germany is relying on the digital vaccination pass, which is to be created under the leadership of the American technology group IBM.

Corona: Incidence value drops below 100 in Bavaria

First report from May 14, 3 p.m.: Munich – The Corona * situation in Bavaria seems to be relaxing. For the first time in almost two months, the seven-day incidence * in the Free State was below 100. There is also good news from the state capital. For more than ten days now, Munich has been below the limit of 100. If the value is stable (= five days) below it, easing is possible. These have already come into force for Munich. The night curfew fell away on Tuesday, and contact restrictions were also relaxed. Since Wednesday (May 12th) the outdoor catering has been allowed to reopen – you can find an overview of the currently applicable rules here. *

Munich is approaching the next corona limit value: Which rules then apply?

On Friday the Robert Koch Institute * (RKI) reported an incidence of 58.8 for Munich (previous day 64.0). The state capital is thus approaching the next important limit value – namely the 50th. Currently, the rules for an incidence of up to 100 still apply to Munich. At the moment, a restaurant visit is therefore only possible by appointment. There is also an obligation to test *: Visitors must either present a negative PCR test (maximum 48 hours old) or a negative rapid test (maximum 24 hours old). These measures could soon be omitted for Munich if the city is stable below the 50 threshold.

Under the same conditions and requirements, theaters, concert and opera houses and cinemas have also been allowed to open since Monday – if the corona numbers in the respective region are stable.

New Corona rules also apply to recreational athletes: If the region is stable below 100, contact-free sport in buildings and contact sport in the open air are allowed again – also combined with mandatory testing for all participants.
