Thanks to the images offered by NASA, ESA, JAXA, etc., every day we bring you a spectacular image of the universe. We show them to you in this photo gallery.
The first colored image of the surface of Ceres, a dwarf planet orbiting between Mars and Jupiter, has just been made public during the General Assembly of the European Geosciences Union.
In one of the deepest underwater hydrothermal springs in the world in the Caribbean, west of Cuba at about 2,300 meters depth, a large number of small shrimp (Rimicaris hybisae) appear piled on top of each other, creating authentic layers in the chimneys of rock that emanate hot water. This mysterious ecosystem could house the keys to the discovery of extraterrestrial life.
The "perfect solar storm". According to a study by the University of Colorado, NASA and other universities, there is a 12% chance that the cloud from an extreme solar storm could fully reach our planet within 10 years. This same event occurred in 2012, but it did not reach us.
Thanks to NASA's Fermi telescope, it has been possible to capture how an incredible binary (two stars orbiting their common center of mass) with a rapidly rotating neutron star, underwent a dramatic change that had never been observed before: the pulsar's beacon it faded as the system became five times brighter in gamma rays (the most powerful form of light).
The first spacecraft dedicated to measuring carbon dioxide levels in the Earth's atmosphere, Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 (OCO-2), begins its journey at 11.56 a.m. from the Vandenberg base, California (USA), aboard a Delta II rocket.
The search for dark matter, that mysterious and invisible substance that makes up most of the material universe and that neither absorbs nor emits light, could have taken a new step. Two observatories, NASA's Chandra X-ray and the European Space Agency's (ESA) XMM-Newton have detected what appears to be a dark matter signal. The discovery has been published in The Astrophysical Journal.
The American company Space Exploration Technologies, better known as SpaceX, has presented the second version, much more modern and functional, of the possible NASA space taxi to send astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS).
Danni Büchner is invited to Sam Dylan's Halloween party. But the "Goodbye Germany" emigrant has no desire for many other party guests. And find clear words.
