The Public Health Commission again avoids ruling on the end of the use of the mask

The Public Health Commission, in which all the autonomous communities and the Ministry are represented, has avoided ruling again on the end of the mandatory use of the mask outdoors.

The commission has approved this Tuesday the vaccination of new vaccination groups against Covid-19. Specifically, group 11 will be made up of people between 30 and 39 years old, 12 between 20 and 29 years old and 13 between 12 and 19 years old.

However, and despite the information that indicated that the possible elimination of the mandatory nature of outdoor masks would be addressed, Health and CCAA have not addressed this matter during the meeting. ‘It has not been dealt with. There is no date ”, ministerial sources have specified Europa Press.

On the other hand, Health has reported that, taking into account the greater availability of vaccines in these coming weeks, the current epidemiological situation and the entry into the summer period, and due to organizational and feasibility reasons, “the uptake may overlap of different groups, maintaining the descending age order ». In any case, they emphasize that “it is essential to insist on the recruitment of people aged 40 and over who have not yet been vaccinated.”

The Public Health Commission has also been informed of the work that is being carried out to update the ‘Strategy for the early detection, surveillance and control of COVID-19’, a document that will be voted on at the next meeting.

Another issue that has been discussed in the Public Health Commission is the need to prioritize the vaccination of adolescents from 12 years of age who belong to groups 1, 4 and 7 (large dependents and very high risk conditions ), after the approval of the vaccination for this age group on May 31.
