The Bogotá Chamber of Commerce opened the call for the Productive Migration program. We tell you what it is.

The Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (CCB) reported this week that the call for the Productive Migration program is now open, with which it seeks to promote the economic and social inclusion of Venezuelan migrants and Colombian returnees.

According to the CCB, this initiative is aimed at 100 enterprises that have potential within the productive or service vocation of Bogotá and the region . It consists of a six-month support program that aims to accelerate your business models.

It includes hours of group training under the pillars of the Lean Startup methodology (to shorten product development cycles) and design thinking , innovation based on motivations, identification of feelings and closeness to potential clients.

It will also emphasize Business Model Canvas (or business model canvas) and lean strategy , among other tools. And it will offer training in psycho-cultural issues to facilitate the insertion of migrants into the local economy.

“For the Chamber, the migratory phenomenon is an opportunity, since the adequate integration of the migrant population has positive effects on the diversification of the dynamics of the labor market, consumption, productivity, the reduction of informality and the development of entrepreneurship. and business strengthening, ”said Juan David Castaño, vice president of business strengthening at the CCB.

The beneficiaries will be able to access group and individual consultancies both in person and virtually and will be accompanied to enter virtual platforms of the Chamber such as Bazzazbog , the commercial showcase of the CCB, and Negocia , a B2B platform to contact new suppliers and customers.

Those selected will also be able to access courses from the organization on skills necessary to manage financial resources effectively. At the end of this process, they will be able to participate in a round of financial solutions .

How to take part?

Entrepreneurs who want to be part of the initiative must meet the following requirements:

  1. Have a valid Special Permit of Permanence (PEP).
  2. Have the commercial register renewed by 2021 (applies to already established companies).
  3. The legal representative or one of its partners must be a Venezuelan migrant or Colombian returnee.
  4. You must be a registered entrepreneur in the jurisdiction of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (59 municipalities of Cundinamarca).
  5. Have a business model that has scalable products or services or that has been tested in Venezuela or Colombia. Once the registration form has been completed, the Chamber will carry out a selection process and will communicate with those elected.
