Bicycle demo for the first time in the Corona year 2020
In Hamburg, tens of thousands of people have taken to the streets for the rights of schools and lesbians every year since 1980. Because of the corona pandemic, the move was converted into a bicycle demo through St. Pauli and Altona last year.
Christopher Street Day commemorates June 28, 1969, when police officers stormed the New York gay and lesbian bar “Stonewall Inn” on Christopher Street, triggering protests by gays, lesbians and transsexuals that lasted several days. The CSD aims to draw attention to the rights of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender, intersexual and queer people. dpa
