Traxión reports the highest revenue figure in its history

The income of the logistics company Traxión totaled 5,373 million pesos from July to September, 24.3% more compared to the same period of the previous year. With this, the Mexican company reached the highest figure in quarterly income in its history , benefiting from the performance of its three business segments.

According to the financial report sent to the Mexican Stock Exchange, the greatest rebound was observed in the logistics and technology segment , with total revenues of 1,496 million pesos, which represented an increase of 29% compared to the third quarter. from last year.

The company chaired by Aby Lijtszain reported a 191.1% increase in revenues related to digital applications, as a result of strong commercial activity and penetration of services . Similarly, its revenues through 3PL logistics services (which act as intermediaries between manufacturers and customers) and 4PL (provider of consulting, planning, management, location, among others), rose 95.8%.

Traxión’s cargo mobility segment added revenues of 1,959 million pesos in the third quarter, which meant an advance of 27% compared to the same period a year earlier, due to the increase in rates per kilometer, which included the partial transfer of the increase in fuel costs.

Revenues from the people mobility segment totaled 1,918 million pesos in the period, an increase of 18.5%, thanks to the increased demand for these services, mainly in the north of the country.

Traxión reported an operating flow (Ebitda) of 934 million pesos, 3.5% more than the same period last year, while its net profit totaled 153 million pesos.

Among the relevant events reported by Traxión during the third quarter of the year was the closing of the acquisition of two logistics and technology companies : Medistik , with a price of 1,557 million pesos and V-Modal for 102.5 million pesos, which symbolized the 90% of the signature.

RedPack, a company that it acquired in May 2018 and that operates in the parcel and courier segment, began pilot tests with two Zero Emissions electric delivery vans , with the intention of evaluating “first-hand” the adoption of this type of units to his fleet.

“The tours will be carried out on real routes of the operation to obtain detailed information on their energy performance, battery autonomy and recharging times, among other aspects. It is a great step towards the use of cleaner transport technologies in Traxión, in line with our sustainability strategy”, he adds in his report.
