While fleeing from the police in Hungary, a vehicle crashed into a house wall. Seven migrants died in the accident, but the driver survived.
Morahalom – Seven migrants were killed in Hungary during a trip organized by smugglers. They died when their vehicle hit a house while fleeing the police and overturned, the Hungarian police announced on Tuesday.
Accordingly, the accident occurred late Monday evening in Morahalom near the Hungarian-Serbian border. Four people were also injured, including the Serbian driver. Before that, police officers wanted to check the vehicle, after which the driver accelerated and started to escape.
The driver was arrested, according to the notification, he now has to answer for smuggling. dpa
