TV Total is not political. TV Total is a journey into a time when everything was a little less relaxed. The TV review.
Uff. How do you start an episode of TV Total after a young woman had previously told about the artificial coma following her corona illness? Was able to thank Joko and Klaas on stage for their second chance, had to report that she had to learn to walk again and walk on the rollator? In your early 20s?
How do you start an episode of TV Total, in front of which Daniel Zickler, senior physician in the Corona intensive care unit at the Berlin Charité, had to tell about the daily corona death and overload on Joko and Klaas’ stage and then almost implored those who doubted to get vaccinated ?
And how do you start an episode of TV Total after Olaf Scholz, as Chancellor-designate, de facto made his first televised address to the nation on the stage of Joko and Klaas and called on all of us to join in the fight against the pandemic?
TV Total: With slapstick, dicks and the small, thick picture Harry Potter against the seriousness of everyday life
Sebastian Pufpaff knows the answer: With slapstick. With a strange bromance initiation between Florian Silbereisen and “Schlager-Comedian” (Pufpaff) Bülent Ceylan. With infantile jokes like “The little man is the center” (Silbereisen to Howard Carpendale). And with a penis! Pufpaff: “It’s getting a bit sticky again.” Snippets from Adam looking for Eva, private TV trash.
Because: “It’s not us who show the cocks. We show those who show dicks by showing the dicks. ”Gnihihi, penis! And then Sebastian Pufpaff grabs a set square and measures the angle of inclination of a moderately erect penis of one of these RTL 2 Adam’s at prime time. After all, “we do investigative journalism,” jokes Pufpaff.
To draw in the next breath again about Bild co-boss and Julian Reichelt fanboy Paul Ronzheimer. The new Bild TV star (his idol has successfully swept away from the top of the trash channel – to stay on TV Total speech) is the one who got the first “nickname” of the new TV Total-Zeit: “Little one , fat Harry Potter. “
Elton is back: With TV Total on the journey to a more carefree time
And so it goes on. Pufpaff literally puts the joint in the mouth of a surprisingly good-humored “vaccination expert”, who was in the ZDF Heute Journal, only to call for a booster, because: “Otherwise the stuff goes overseas, they’d be happy.” It doesn’t get more political .
After a funny little guy got the Raab der Woche, renamed the “Federal German Moving Image Award”, because it had managed to throw a balloon off his head with a boomerang in a few attempts, Pufpaff put the FDP website again. Bundestag parliamentary group lame. Again, one has to say that he had previously ensured such a liberal shutdown together with Gregor Gysi and the “sharpest bee of the FDP”.
Broadcast from December 1, 2021, 8.30 p.m. Available in the Pro Sieben media library on Joyn.
Then it comes to the real climax: Elton is back. Elton! The audience goes crazy and you catch yourself with a big, fat grin on your face. A little everything is suddenly back in 2010. A time before disgusts like right-wing extremists in the Bundestag, hatred of people fleeing war, displacement and hunger and the mutual demonization of people who all just want to get through this damn pandemic. However. And that feels damn good.
TV Total takes a break from the sadness of our time
Pufpaff, who for weeks in every issue of TV Total has appeared in his childlike joy as if he cannot believe that he is allowed to be the presenter here in Raab’s place. As Raab once did, he wrestles a young man with exaggerated ambition in “embarrassing or cashing in” and does everything right with it. Simply because he is allowed to do it here. Because TV Total is not a haven of style or polite restraint.
But a kind of high mass of joke. Anyone who expects ZDF Magazin Royale-like political relevance here or taps every word for its inherent social suitability can switch off. Because Sebastian Pufpaff manages in this hour on Pro Sieben (unfortunately flooded by advertising blocks as usual) to leave the big problems of our common everyday life outside for a moment.
And even helps to be able to briefly swallow the lump that Corona survivor Luisa, the pleading for help senior doctor Zickler and the designated Chancellor Scholz, who called for social exertion, previously stuffed into Joko and Klaas’ throats on the stage. Because that, exactly, is the job of TV Total. An hour of trash, slapstick and switching off. An hour away from this dreary present and back to 2010. In a time when everything was somehow more carefree. Thanks for that. (Mirko Schmid)
