Getting married in times of war: In Ukraine, more than 10,000 couples have married since the fighting began.
Kyiv – Marriages continued in Ukraine during the war. Since the beginning of the Russian attack almost three weeks ago, 10,683 couples have said yes, according to the Ministry of Justice in Kyiv on Wednesday night.
"The war in the country continues, but life does not stop." Since February 24, 10,767 children have also been born in the country. “Our workers continue to work for you even under war conditions!” the ministry wrote to the Ukrainians.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights has documented the deaths of 691 civilians in Ukraine since Russian troops invaded. Ukraine expects much higher numbers. dpa
