What is a black hole?

There is something intrinsically about eThese invisible beasts that lurk in space. Black holes are volumes of space where gravity is extreme enough to prevent even the fastest moving particles from escaping. No, not even light can be released, hence the name black hole.

A German physicist and astronomer named Karl Schwarzschild pHe put on the modern version of a black hole in 1915after finding an exact solution to Albert Einstein’s approximations of general relativity.

Schwarzschild realized that it was possible for the mass to be compressed into an infinitely small point. This would cause the spacetime around it to bend so that nothing, not even photons of massless light, could escape its curvature.

The cusp of this point towards oblivion is known as the event horizon, and the distance between this limit and the infinitely dense core, or singularity,It is named after Schwarzschild.

Theoretically, all masses have aradio de Schwarzschildthat can be calculated. If the mass of the Sun were squeezed into an infinitely small point, it would form a black hole with a radius of just under 3 kilometers. Similarly, the mass of the Earth would have a Schwarzschild radius of just a few millimeters, making a black hole no bigger than a marble.

For decades, black holes were exotic quirks of general relativity. Today most galaxies are believed to have monstrous black holes at their core.

How big do they get?

Black holes can be large or small.
Scientists think that the smallest black holes are as small as a single atom. These black holes are very small but have the mass of a large mountain.

Another type of black hole is known as a “stellar” . Its mass can be up to 20 times more than the mass of the sun. There may be many, many stellar-mass black holes in our galaxy.

The largest black holes are called “supermassive .” These black holes have masses that add up to more than 1 million suns together. Scientists have found evidence that every large galaxy contains a supermassive black hole at its center, as we have discussed. The supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy, the Milky Way, is called Sagittarius A. It has a mass equal to about 4 million suns, where a few million Earths could fit.

Slaves and Disabled: Forced Medical Test Volunteers

The main problem to carry out medical research is to have willing volunteers for it. And if they come out for free, much better. This is the story of unethical behavior in medical research.
