According to information from the Mexican government, Raquel Buenrostro is a mathematician from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where she was awarded the Gabino Barreda medal with the thesis “About the Miller-Teply theorem.”
Subsequently, he obtained a master’s degree in Economics from El Colegio de México with the work “Behavior of the exchange rate within a band: analysis of the effects due to the intramarginal intervention of the Central Bank”.
Buenrostro has taught various mathematics and economics courses at UNAM and El Colegio de México.

Buenrostro leaves to the next head of the SAT the challenge of reaching the collection goal of 2022 for 4.2 billion pesos and for 2023 for 4.6 billion pesos; 56% of all public revenues proposed to be collected.

Buenrostro will become head of Economy, in the midst of different consultations that are held in the energy and automotive fields, between the partners of the Treaty between Mexico, the United States and Canada (T-MEC).
