As the police headquarters in Konstanz explained in a statement on Monday, the fatal accident happened on Saturday (October 22) around 5 p.m. on the grounds of the Villingen-Schwenningen airfield. The 15-year-old parachutist fell from a height of several meters after a jump with the open parachute shortly before landing.

According to a police spokesman, the 15-year-old flight student jumped alone at a height of around 3,200 meters on Monday. Shortly before landing, according to the investigators’ initial findings, she flew a curve and fell from a height of a few meters. She suffered serious injuries on Saturday and later died in a hospital.
