Offenbach – It was supposed to be an exciting evening at the cinema, but for two young people from the USA a visit to the cinema ended in tragedy. During the screening of the new “The Purge” film, an 18 year old girl is shot dead – without anyone noticing.
As the picture reports, both the US-known tiktoker Anthony Barajas (19) and Kylee Goodrich (18) are shot in a cinema in the Californian city of Corona. The 18-year-old succumbs to her injuries. The two victims of the cinema attack are only found later during clean-up work.

“Apparently nobody heard the shot during the actual film time,” said an employee of the cinema to the US news broadcaster CBS Los Angeles. “We check the bags at the entrance every day. It is not clear whether the murder weapon was overlooked or whether the perpetrator carried it in a holster on his belt. ”A suspect is said to have been arrested a few hours after the performance. A 20-year-old man is now being investigated for murder and attempted murder.
The “The Purge” film series is about nights in the United States with no punishment, in which all crimes are allowed, including murder. The crime rate should thus be kept low in a dystopian version of the USA. The newest part “The Forever Purge” is the fifth and final part of the series. (marv)
