Saarbrücken/Schmelz – A 43-year-old man is said to have killed his partner in the Saarland municipality of Schmelz (Saarlouis district). The man was arrested at the scene of the crime, the police said in Saarbrücken on Sunday. The background to the fact is still unclear.
The suspect’s mother is said to have found the 34-year-old victim lifeless in the shared property in the morning and then called the police. The 43-year-old was arrested by the emergency services without resistance, the police said. There were initially no further details about the crime. dpa
