In the XXI century we live clinging to technology as it makes our lives much easier. The most required device is the smartphone because it is always with us, but what would our mobile be without apps ?: a simple gadget to make calls.
The applications open us to a world of possibilities that we could never have imagined before, such as a real-time map with a guide included, a video call to any part of the world or an immediate bank transfer. All in a device measuring 138 grams and 6.8 mm thick. Not even James Bond had one of these.
But creativity in app development doesn’t stop there. Here are the 5 most curious Apps of the moment:
# 1. RunPee. Ranking: 4’1 (Free)
Being at the movies and needing to go to the bathroom is something that has happened to all of us. This application will tell you, by vibration, what is the best time to go to the bathroom. Of course, the application offers you a synopsis of the moments in which you are absent so as not to lose detail. And last but not least , RunPee informs you of possible extras after the end credits. You can finally go to the movies without harming your bladder.
Available for iOS and Android
# 2. Shadowy. Ranking: 4’3 (Free)
In Spain we enjoy a large percentage of sunny days and sometimes too hot. Therefore, it can be really important to know if the place where you park your car will have shade for most of the day or if the square you are going to buy will be illuminated in the morning. Thanks to the geolocator and the magnetism sensor of our mobile, the Sombrica application allows you to see the shadow of the objects in real time or at the hours pre-established by you .
Only available for Android
# 3. Metal detector. Ranking: 4’0 (Free)
Through the magnetic sensor of the mobile we can find metal cables in walls, as well as objects or coins lost on the sofa, bed or carpet. And the funny thing is that it really works. It’s certainly not as efficient as a proper metal detector, but it’s sure to blow your mind away.
Available for iOS and Android
# 4. Dream On. Ranking: 3 (Gratis)
Dreams are something really curious that we cannot get to know in depth. The developer of this application suggests the possibility of monitoring dreams during REM phase through sounds and thus manipulating what we dream. You just have to configure the application and put it under your pillow. According to the summary of the application, it has given results to 50% of its users after several nights of using it.
Only available for iOS
# 5. Most expensive App. Ranking: 3’7 (200€)
It is by far the most useless and ostentatious application you can find on Google Play. When you download it, the only thing you will get is a screensaver with a diamond and an arrogant message . The most curious thing about this application is that since its appearance in December 2011 it has been downloaded 10 times.
Only available for Android
This list of applications shows that users are willing to download everything and try new experiences. In this new technological era, developers will have to make a great effort if they want to surprise the most demanding users.
