NFL: Denver Broncos hold on to Edge Rusher Von Miller

The Denver Broncos are holding on to Edge Rusher Von Miller. With a team option, the player will stay in Colorado at least until the end of the 2021 season.

Miller will earn $ 18 million in the coming season. Several media report this unanimously. Negotiations to lower the cap hit of $ 22.125 million had previously failed.

Miller is entering the final year of a six-year contract for $ 114.5 million he signed in 2016.

Miller had completely missed the 2020 season due to an ankle injury at the training camp. However, the 31-year-old is expected to be fit again by the start of the new season.

Miller was the Broncos’ second overall pick in the 2011 draft and was elected eight times to the Pro Bowl, plus three times to the All-Pro First Team. He was Defensive Rookie of the Year 2011 and led the Broncos to the Super Bowl 50 title over the Carolina Panthers after the 2015 season as the Super Bowl MVP.
