The Green Bay Packers were able to hold Aaron Jones just before the Free Agency began. The running back signed a four-year contract.
Jones’ agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed this to various media. Jones also indicated his extension on social media: “Let’s run it back,” wrote Jones on Twitter .
Jones’ four-year contract is said to be worth $ 48 million. The 26-year-old receives an average of $ 12 million a year. In addition, Jones is collecting a signing bonus of $ 13 million.
In the past two years, Jones had broken the 1,000 rushing yard mark for the Packers. He also scored 25 rushing touchdowns in those two years.
With the extension of Jones, Center Corey Linsley is now almost guaranteed to become a free agent. It is doubtful that Green Bay has the financial means to keep the offensive lineman after Jones.
