To say goodbye to his role as James Bond, actor Daniel Craig (53) is now drawing level with his legendary film character in real life. *
It is the same honor that diplomats are often given. The 53-year-old British actor was named CMG, Companion of the Order of St. Michael and St. George by Queen Elizabeth II. * (95) for his services to film and theater. The fictional character James Bond, who played Craig in five 007 films, wears this award in the Ian Flaming films.

The Order of the Garter is the oldest order of knights in the world. The maximum of 24 non-blue-blooded members are personally selected by the monarch.
