Baden-Baden – The medieval metal band Feuerschwanz has brought a record to the top of the German album charts for the first time. With their new record “Memento Mori”, the musicians prevailed against Patricia Kelly, who entered the charts at number two with “Unbreakable”.
Abba have dropped from second to third place with “Voyage”, as GfK Entertainment also announced. Santiano jumped from nine to four with “When the Cold Comes”. Adele (“30”) completes the top five.
In the single charts, US newcomer Gayle conquered the top for the first time with her TikTok hit “abcdefu”. Pajel (“10von10”, two), Acraze feat. Cherish (“Do It To It”, three), Ed Sheeran (“Shivers”, four) and Elton John & Dua Lipa (“Cold Heart”).
When determining the German single charts on Friday, GfK Entertainment also took into account free audio and video streams financed by advertising for the first time. Another new feature is that YouTube also contributes data from free and premium streams to determine the most successful songs. dpa
