Northeim – The police were informed about a very unusual find on Saturday (January 22nd, 2022) by a person responsible for the gravel pond in Edesheim. There should be a larger object in the water, probably a metal cupboard.
The Northeim volunteer was asked for help to salvage the cabinet, which was around three meters under water, according to a police statement. The cabinet could then finally be salvaged by calling in divers.

It was a safe with very interesting contents, because the officers found stolen goods inside, which came from a burglary in Bad Salzdetfurth. During the salvage by the divers, a second previously unassigned cube safe was also found. The investigations into the origin and the perpetrators are already underway.
