Is procrastination inherited?

A study published in the journal Psychological Science suggests that the tendency to procrastinate (procrastinate) may be based on genes and, therefore, be hereditary.

The work, carried out by the University of Colorado (USA), was based on the analysis of 181 pairs of identical or monozygotic twins and 166 pairs of twins or dizygotic twins , in order to test their inclination to both impulsivity and procrastination.

The conclusions of the study clarified that the more identical the subjects were (monozygotic twins), the more similarity they showed in their behavior and therefore in these specific behaviors, giving strength to the hypothesis about the powerful influence of genetic inheritance and not so much in the factors external.
