Kabaddi is one of the oldest known sports. The tradition places its origins 4,000 years ago in India, and it continues to be practiced there, as well as in Bangladesh, Pakistan and other places in Asia. The emigrants from these countries have exported it to the whole world, including Spain , and its international federation brings together 31 countries. The kabaddi faces two teams of seven players on a 13 x 10 meter court. Each set occupies one half of the field. The game begins when one of them sends one of their members, the raider , to the opposite terrain. This must touch a rival, who is eliminated; and return to his field without being captured, which adds up to one point. If he is caught, it is for the opponents. For their part, the defenders form chains holding hands and try to encircle the raider , who has to enter the enemy's territory chanting “kabaddi, kabaddi, kabaddi” without ceasing and, therefore, without breathing . If he inspires or makes a mistake, he is eliminated. Whoever scores the most points or hunts all the opponents wins.
