Although we apparently experience it when we believe that others spoil our behavior, it is actually caused by the fear of negatively evaluating oneself . In fact, many times we try to control our shame while those around us do not believe that we have committed any objectionable action.
Therefore, the result is anxiety, shyness or embarrassment, which have nothing to do with the evaluation of others. It can be made clearer with the following example: if you believe that dancing well is important, you will be embarrassed about doing it wrong, while if you judge that it is not an important skill in your life, you will not care to move like a duck.
